We had a great brunch for Easter over at Jen and Susan's. We had planned to have an Easter egg hunt, which I fully intended to win, but the cold weather changed our plans. Instead, we had a warm and cozy fire and roasted Peeps. Well, we tried to roast Peeps. That candy coating is apparently a great flame retardant. I left 5 and 1/2 hours later, with a stomach full from eating and sore from laughing.
Everyone looks so calm. You would never guess from this photo the juvenile depths the conversation took after the 5th or 6th bottle of champagne.
Once again, the girls graciously opened up their house for an all day feast fest.
Unlike the Peeps, these hard, flat marshmallow bunnies did burn in the fire. They looked very much like the bubbly zombie faces from Grindhouse, which I saw this weekend, and therefore were not very appealing to me. But Su F ate one. (By the way, Grindhouse was a riot. And I don't normally like that kind of stuff. But a hot girl with a machine gun for a leg... what more could you ask for in cinematic entertainment?)
